I thought for sure it would be Kucinich. He just seems so much cooler than the other candidates.

WOW. This is some bad reporting. Obama has had a myspace for quite some time. He didn't add all of these friends in the time MySpace Impact has been up.

Robert B.: 12307 of the current 12596 comments on the Barack Obama page are after March 19th (when MySpace Impact was launched). While it is true that there was a Barack Obama page on MySpace before March 19th, it is hardly "bad reporting" to point out the overwhelming numbers.

Wait a minute. The same people who are behind lonelygirl15 are behind this. The fan site is going up, episodic, eventually product placement.

New obama profile, I don't know what happend but he has 2 profiles now, so his profile is actually newer and 10k behind hillary at this point. His old profile old id# is 5173909, im not sure what his friendly url is for that profile, not really that much into myspace to know how to get a url from an id.. His new profile is myspace.com/barackobama [i believe] his old profile has 100k+ friends on it.

Obama campaign people persuaded myspace to take the name "barackobama" from the volunteer who ran it and give it to them.

it's a shame what's recently happened with the "takeover" of the Obama fan's myspace account. If I'm not mistaken, he had even more "friends" than the official Obama myspace account. Now it's just blank and he's trying to figure out what to do with it. I wouldn't know where to start.

@zebrafink: It's the official MySpace voting for the President of the world wide web - you've never heard of that? :P
